It might sound odd but gardening with personality is perfectly possible. What many people consider a menial job which is to remain consigned to one’s gardener, no longer remains so. And if anybody still thinks that gardening is only for gardeners, perhaps it is time for that person to correct his or her point of view. With passing of time, gardening has become a major pastime and hobby of many people around our world.

And with bonsai gardening gaining more and more importance, gardening is slowly ceasing to be just another hobby and is becoming a pastime which reflects glamour and one’s personality as well. Bonsai involves special types of plants which require much more patience and effort than other ordinary modes of gardening. Now one might ask, that in what manner can bonsai gardening reflect one’s personality; that is how does bonsai gardening become literally ‘gardening with personality’. To get an answer to that question you need to take a look at several important aspects of bonsai gardening.

Bonsai gardening, though gaining importance in the modern milieu, is in fact an ancient art form that has been in practice for several centuries. What really sets aside bonsai gardening from other ordinary forms of gardening is not only the difference in size and shape of the plants but the patience and skill that is required for the former. While all might appreciate bonsai plants, bonsai gardening itself is a pretty difficult task and is not everybody’s cup of tea. So a successful bonsai garden or plant reflects the tenacity of the gardener who has given rise to that particular plant or garden of bonsai plants.

It also tells all people who admire the beauty of bonsai plants regarding hard working personality of its gardener. Another important factor to notice about bonsai plants is that they are exotic in nature and are pretty expensive to create and maintain. They require a lot of care which in turn requires a lot of tools. Most of tools and other equipment which are required for bonsai gardening and for taking care of bonsai plants are not readily available in the market. They are not only difficult to find but quite expensive as well, which effectively puts bonsai gardening out of reach of many people.

This fact that bonsai gardening is very expensive and unaffordable for many gives it an aura of exclusivity. What this aura of exclusivity in turn does is that it rubs off on the owner and gardener of bonsai plants and garden. It sort of tells all other people that this person is a person is someone who has made a place for himself or herself in this society. And also that he or she is quite successful in financial terms and is able to afford bonsai gardening.

Due to all these factors and reasons bonsai gardening reflects status and personality of its owner or proprietor and hence can be rightfully referred to as “Gardening with Personality”.
